PT Gearindo Prakarsa Successfully Completes Spool Fabrication for GBCPP March 2026 Shutdown

PT Gearindo Prakarsa is proud to announce the successful completion and delivery of the Fabrication Spool for the GBCPP Anomaly Closed Out project.  Under the dedicated leadership of Mr. Surya Satria Budi, our Workshop Setu Manager, this critical mechanical scope was executed as part of the preparations for the upcoming March 2026 Shutdown Job.

The project reached 100% progress and was officially dispatched to the designated site on February 18, 2026.

Project Overview and Milestones

The fabrication process followed a rigorous quality control and technical workflow to ensure all components met the high standards required for GBCPP operations.

Key Technical Details:

  • Project ID: POIND-0075-00202.
  • Components: 3 Pipe Spools, 2 Flange FFW, and Studbolts.

Fabrication Timeline and Progress:

The project moved through several critical phases throughout February 2026:

  • Early February: Material receipt, inspection, and the commencement of fit-up and welding (Progress 14% – 20%).
  • Technical Precision: On February 4th, a technical query regarding a 204 mm dimension was resolved with a “Fitting to Fitting” (FTF) actual dimension of 195 mm.
  • Mid-February: Completion of welding layer caps, acceptable NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) results, and successful Hydrotests (Progress 60% – 78%).
  • Surface Treatment: Rigorous blasting and coating procedures, including premier, second, and top coats with DFT (Dry Film Thickness) verification.
  • Completion: Final packaging and delivery on February 18, 2026.

Commitment to Quality

Throughout the fabrication, our team utilized specialized NDT and MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) to verify the integrity of every weld. This ensures that the spool is ready for immediate integration during the GBCPP shutdown, minimizing potential anomalies and ensuring operational safety.
