Emergency Drill: PT Gearindo Prakarsa Head Office

On January 15, 2026, PT Gearindo Prakarsa conducted a comprehensive fire emergency drill at our Head Office to reinforce our commitment to workplace safety. Led by HSE Leader Yanuardi Adijaya, the exercise was designed to test our evacuation routes, communication systems, and the readiness of our staff in the event of a fire.

The Scenario

The simulation began at 11:00 WIB when a simulated fire (smoke created by dry ice) was spotted in the 3rd-floor pantry of the Grha Gearindo building. Because the rear exit was “blocked” by fire in this scenario, employees were directed to use the front lobby emergency stairs—a route rarely used—to ensure everyone is familiar with all possible exit points.

Results and Key Findings

The drill concluded with a successful muster at the designated point. Highlights from the evaluation include:

  • Rapid Evacuation: All 42 employees were safely accounted for at the muster point in under 13 minutes, including the scaffolding team working on the building’s exterior.
  • Effective Coordination: The performance of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the participation of our employees were both rated as “Good”.
  • Actionable Improvements: The drill identified technical issues with the alarm and paging systems. These have been flagged for immediate maintenance, with upgrades scheduled for completion by April 30, 2026.

This drill serves as a vital reminder that safety is a continuous process. By identifying these technical gaps now, we ensure that PT Gearindo Prakarsa remains a safe environment for all our team members.
