Building a Culture of Care:
Our Q3 2026 Manual Lifting Safety Campaign
At our core, our vision and mission have always been about delivering excellence sustainably and responsibly. But true operational excellence is impossible without protecting our most valuable asset: our people. Safety is not just a regulatory checklist for us—it is a foundational corporate value that reflects how we care for one another and how we conduct business every single day.
As we enter the July – September 2026 period, we are officially launching our latest Safety Campaign: Safe Manual Lifting Techniques (Keselamatan Pengangkatan).
Manual handling and lifting are everyday activities across our operations, yet improper techniques remain one of the leading causes of preventable musculoskeletal injuries. When we compromise on safety, we compromise our commitment to our families and our shared corporate goals.
5 Steps to Protect Your Spine
Every team member is expected to practice and internalize the 5 Key Pillars of Safe Lifting:
- Periksa Beban (Assess): Always check the weight, size, and your travel path first.
- Posisi Yang Tepat (Position): Stand close to the load with feet shoulder-width apart. Bend your knees, never your back.
- Pegang Dengan Kuat (Grip): Ensure a secure, two-handed grip before lifting.
- Angkat Dengan Kaki (Lift): Power the lift using your strong leg muscles while keeping your back straight.
- Bawa Dengan Aman (Carry): Look straight ahead. Never twist your torso while carrying a load; turn your entire body by moving your feet.
The Golden Rule of Intervention:
If you encounter an unsafe condition or witness improper handling, you have the full authority and responsibility to Stop the Work. As the campaign reminds us: “Pastikan untuk menghentikan pekerjaan Anda bila ditemukan kondisi atau tindakan yang tidak aman/selamat, sebelum pekerjaan itu menghentikan Anda atau rekan kerja Anda.”
Utilize Our Resources
Remember, courage also means knowing when to ask for help. If a load is too heavy or awkwardly shaped, do not risk an injury. Utilize the mechanical lifting aids available on-site—such as trolleys, hand pallets, hoists, or forklifts—and always ensure you are wearing your mandatory PPE (Helmet, Safety Shoes, Gloves, and Work Uniform).
Let’s bring our corporate values to life through our actions. Safety is an ongoing, shared commitment. Let’s look out for one another and ensure everyone returns home safely at the end of every shift.
Safety is our collective responsibility!
