End of August 2025, PT Gearindo Prakarsa successfully completed the repair of a 15-ton condensate tank (GBCPP-T-3210) for Harbour Energy. The tank was transported from Gajah Baru field, Natuna Islands, to the PT Gearindo Prakarsa workshop in Setu, Bekasi.
Our scope of work included repairing the heavily corroded skid and performing welding with WPS 28 using ER309L filler for GTAW and E309L-16 for SMAW, which connected the carbon steel base to stainless steel. We also used WPS 31 AWS for carbon steel structures.
After the repairs, a 20-ton load test was conducted on September 3, 2025, using a 45-ton capacity mobile telescopic crane. Non-destructive tests, specifically Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Dye Penetrant Test, were performed on the pad eyes, critical skid, master link, shackle, and ferrule thimble eyes on both ends of the wire rope sling. The project was completed safely, and the condensate tank was successfully returned to Harbour Energy in Gajah Baru, Natuna.
