With the strict Health Protocol, PT Gearindo Prakarsa started the EPCI Project for a replacement of two unit seperators in the XA Offshore production platform in the X-Ray Jatibarang Field owned by Pertamina EP Asset 3 in the Offshore Cirebon. In September 2020, the crew left the main office by bus heading for Cirebon.
Upon arrival in Cirebon, for the preparation of project, all of the crew have to work until late at night in shift schedule to ensure they can maintain their health conditions.
All of the equipments, material and the crew were transported by AWB (Accommodation Working Barge) and pulled by a tug boat heading to the X-Ray Platform. It took around 8 hours from Cirebon to the X-Ray Platform.
Upon arrival in the X-Ray Platform, the first activities to be handled was to switch the oil flow in order to be able to replace the old seperator.
The first step was to stop the oil flow to the heat exchanger then to get ready to remove the old separator. Prior to the executions, step by step procedures and detailed work plan was thoroughly explained to ensure successful and safe implementation.

After the Demolition and the Installation of the separators in the XAPV 1C & 1D in the Offshore X-Ray Platform of Pertamina EP Asset 3 were successfully completed safely with zero accident by PT Gearindo Prakarsa, a celebration was conducted on the platform with a traditional “potong tumpeng” to show a gratitude and appreciation of the team who had work hard to achieve the project satisfactorily.
